Bob and Dave and Ren

Inspired by the fact that they share the same biographer, Bob and Dave and Ren stuffs the opposing aesthetic theories of two iconic visual artists (David Hockney and Robert Irwin) into the form of a classic rom-com (Dirty Dancing, to be specific). What emerges combines fevered onstage romance, poetic audience participation, and The Time of My Life into an exploration of representation and abstraction in theatre.
