Ben Gansky

Hi there. I’m an artist, researcher, and civic engagement designer based in Berkeley, CA, where I’m research director for tech + society futures at Institute for the Future.

In my creative work I collide technologies, stories, and humor in performances, installations, and games. My research deals with how collectives recognize and negotiate the politics underlying their digital tools. My civic engagement practice creates experiences and programs for enlivening the intersection of cultures, digital politics, and participatory democracy - often by thinking on a ten-year horizon.
